IVF Specialist
Dr. Jonáš is a caring and sensitive professional who guides couples throughout their entire infertility treatment. He has experience not only in the field of general gynaecology and obstetrics, but also as a specialist at a cancer prevention medical centre. In the field of assisted reproduction, Dr. Jonáš’s medical background also encompasses oncofertility and management of complications in pregnancy caused by endometriosis.
My first step in the field of IVF was during my time at the gynaecology and obstetrics department in a regional hospital. The opportunity to work with couples in difficult reproductive situations and to help change their lives greatly appealed to me. So much so, I decided to fully devote myself to infertility treatment. It is an increasingly urgent and pressing problem, which is often underestimated and underdiagnosed. We need to try to change that perception with the right education — and in doing so give couples the chance to go through treatment with a better chance of success earlier.
As doctors, we know that assisted reproduction is often very mentally and physically demanding. Our patients, therefore, need to feel part of a safe environment where all their emotions can be expressed and where they can rely on empathetic, supportive professionals. What I like most about PFC is that my colleagues and I listen and work together to find solutions for couples across disciplines.
While it may sound like a cliché — the truth is that even after years of practice, every new positive pregnancy test and happy news from couples still moves me. This gives me the strength to continue often challenging work. Every couple is an inspiration to me and a reminder of how lucky I am to have my three children at home.
“Besides precision and perseverance, I believe in mutual trust and open communication. In my opinion, this is the only way to ensure everyone is happy with their treatment.”
